60 to 70-Hour Weeks, Stress, Deadlines and Occasional All-Nighters.
Hi, my name is Steve Lauri and for over 15 years I’ve owned an advertising business in Southern California. Actually, it might be more accurate to say, it owned ME! Long hours, deadlines, stress and occasional all-nighters were the norm. That’s fine when you’re fresh out of college and bullet proof, but when you’re in your mid-forties—I don’t think so!
I did OK money-wise, but when the 9-11 attacks occurred, my business (as did most of the economy) really suffered. My clients tightened their budgets and new business was not to be found. Over the following six months, I accumulated over $50K in credit card debt.
This caused me to seriously re-think my career. I realized that owning a traditional, “brick-and-mortar” type business with serious overhead like space rent, insurance, computer equipment, furniture, employee salaries, utilities, etc., add on the long hours, deadlines and stress, it was not something I wanted to stick with. I knew it was not the answer to living my dreams. So I started looking for alternatives.
Most Importantly, how to make money in a new way.
I discovered the network marketing industry shortly thereafter and got started with an MLM company—big mistake! Over the next few years, I worked my tail off without too much to show for it. I did what I was instructed to do—all the typical MLM marketing tactics that make most people cringe… you know, making a list of everyone you know, inviting people to weekly hotel meetings, buying and calling crappy leads and buying and giving away sample product to anyone and everyone. I certainly wasn’t making a profit.
After putting in hours and hours of work, and spending thousands on leads and sample product to give away, the best I could muster in a month was $2,800 in profit. It seemed more people were dropping out than joining. I was disappointed and discouraged. I still believed in the network marketing industry, yet there had to be a better way!
I’m not one to give up on my dreams…
So as I was surfing the Internet, and clicked on an ad that read: “Serious Entrepreneurs Wanted”. It took me to the website of a guy in Kansas City who claimed to have done pretty well with this system. I gave him a call and had a conversation with him. Being skeptical, I researched the best I could. No red flags came up and he seemed like a decent enough guy. I learned more about the company and the type of business model they had.
In fact, I was REALLY impressed with most everything about this business model:

• No inventory to store

• Not MLM (big relief!)

• No home parties, hotel meetings or cold-calling leads

• Not a scheme, get-rich-quick, or money game
• A real business with unlimited potential
• Attracts serious entrepreneurs, not scammers
I like the fact that it isn’t another MLM selling some vitamin, exotic berry or super juice—paying mickey mouse commissions where you need thousands of people in your downline just to earn a decent check. This is a realistic, workable business with 5-figure monthly income potential out of the gate. It allows anyone to plug in and duplicate the success of the top earners. It’s a complete, proven online marketing and education system that enables ordinary people to become successful business owners and write their own paychecks. Nice!
